In May 2016, I was awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching at Brown University. While at Brown I taught “Introduction to Cultural Anthropology”, “Introduction to Biological Anthropology” and a course called “Survival of the Whitest: Two Centuries of Scientific Racism”. When I was an external lecturer at the University of Copenhagen in 2009 I taught an introduction to Mesoamerican Archeology and a course on social organization in indigenous Mesoamerica.

Currently, I am preparing a course titled “Signs of Life” which is an introduction to Semiotic anthropology and the application of semiotic theory to the study of human lives. You can read the syllabus here: Signs of Life and the Life of Signs.
